Asparagus Rolls with Teriyaki Beef

A very tasty and impressive recipe to serve as an appetizer or snack at a party, dinner, or meal. The beef is cooked with a teriyaki sauce and wrapped around the asparagus.

  • 300 grams beef, thin, a good cut is recommended
  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 3 dozens asparagus, fresh

  • In a steamer, bring salted water to a boil and steam the asparagus until they achieve a bright green color (approx. 10 minutes).
  • In a deep bowl, mix the soy sauce, sake, ginger, ketchup, and sugar to make the Teriyaki sauce.
  • Cut the beef into long rectangular pieces and mix with half of the teriyaki sauce. You should get approximately 24 pieces.
  • In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil and cook the beef for 2-3 minutes (it cooks quickly as it is thin).
  • Remove from heat and add the remaining teriyaki sauce.
  • Take each asparagus and wrap a teriyaki beef roll around it.
