Baked Buffalo Wings

These wings taste just as good or even better than fried wings. They are an excellent dish for watching football games or for a night of cards or dominoes. The secret is to coat them with the sauce once they are cooked and crispy.

  • 12 chicken wings, (cut in half)
  • 2 cups buffalo sauce, for wings
  • 1 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic
  • 1 lime, cut in half
  • spray oil, vegetable

  • Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
  • Wash each wing under running water and rub with lemon. Place the wings on a paper towel and dry well.
  • In a plate, mix the flour with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil and grease it with vegetable spray.
  • Dredge each wing in the flour mixture, coating it completely, and place it on the aluminum foil. Repeat with all the wings.
  • Bake the wings for 30-40 minutes or until they are slightly crispy. Remove from the oven, flip the wings, and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  • In a deep plate, pour the spicy buffalo sauce. Dip each wing in the sauce and place it on the serving plate.
