Jalapeño Poppers

Try the jalapeño poppers, they are a delicious and super easy snack to make. They are perfect for snacking with friends at a gathering or for a weekend at home with family. Prepare them!

  • 8 Jalapeño chiles, large
  • 190 grams cream cheese
  • 100 grams Oaxaca cheese, or asadero
  • 100 grams chorizo
  • 1 egg
  • 60 milliliters cow's milk
  • breadcrumbs
  • vegetable oil

  • Fry the chorizo and strain the oil.
  • Cut the chiles in half, carefully remove the veins and seeds to create a compartment for the cheese.
  • In a bowl, add the cream cheese (at room temperature) along with the Oaxaca cheese and mix, then add the chorizo and blend until it forms a spreadable mixture.
  • Take the chiles and stuff them with the cheese and chorizo mixture, refrigerate for a few minutes to firm up the cheese.
  • Mix the eggs with the milk, bread the chiles: first dip them in the egg, then in flour, back in the egg, and finally in breadcrumbs.
  • Fry for 4 to 6 minutes until they are golden and crispy.
