Tomato and Mozzarella Tart

Prepare this delicious tomato and mozzarella tart. It’s a different way to serve the traditional caprese salad. Your whole family will love it!

  • 500 grams puff pastry
  • 5 tomatoes
  • 450 grams Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg
  • coarse salt
  • fines herbs
  • pepper
  • olive oil

  • On a floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of 0.5 mm. Refrigerate.
  • While it chills, slice the tomatoes and mozzarella cheese into 1 cm thick slices.
  • Cut the dough into 15x15 centimeter squares. Brush the edges with egg.
  • Arrange the tomatoes and cheese alternately.
  • Sprinkle a little coarse salt, herbs, and pepper. And a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Place the oven rack at the top and bake at 200ºC for 12 minutes.
  • Serve immediately.
