Chorizo and Gruyere Rolls

These puff pastry rolls are filled with gruyere cheese and chorizo. They are a delicious snack and can also be served for breakfast.

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons sage
  • salt
  • 8 ounces chorizo, cooked and shredded
  • 3/4 cups Gruyère cheese, grated

  • Preheat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit or 180 Celsius.
  • Place the puff pastry on a floured surface and use a rolling pin to form a rectangle of 33x20 cm. With a brush, glaze the entire puff pastry with the melted butter, leaving a 1 cm wide border on the sides.
  • Mix the finely chopped sage with the salt and sausage. Place this mixture on the puff pastry (leaving the border empty). Sprinkle the cheese on top.
  • Starting from the long side of the rectangle, roll up the filled puff pastry. Seal the edges.
  • With a knife, slice 12 pieces of 1.5 centimeters, removing the edges.
  • Place on a greased and floured baking sheet and bake the rolls for 25 minutes, until golden brown.
