Beetroot Dip

Prepare this delicious and creamy beetroot dip. It's perfect for snacking, and you can accompany it with toasted pita bread. The FAGE Total® 0% Greek Style Yoghurt gives it a perfect consistency that your guests will love. It features exotic spices that provide an aphrodisiac flavor.

  • 1/3 cups FAGE® Total 0% greek style yogurt
  • 2 beets
  • 2 tablespoons garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cups pistachios

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Wash and peel the beets with a peeler and wrap them in aluminum foil, adding a teaspoon of water inside. Bake them at 180°C for 30 minutes.
  • Wrap the garlic cloves, skin and all, in aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Blend the beetroot with Yoghurt FAGE Total® 0%, garlic, lemon juice, cumin, ground cinnamon, and olive oil. It should have a creamy consistency.
  • Sprinkle some shelled pistachios on top and serve with crackers or toasted pita bread.
