Cream Cheese Dip for Day of the Dead

If you love cream cheese, we present a delicious Halloween snack. It’s a dip made with cream cheese, serrano ham, and yellow bell pepper with a terrifying flavor. Perfect for placing on your Day of the Dead altar or for the little ones at home to have fun making it.

  • 3 packages cream cheese 3 packages cream cheese
  • 200 grams serrano ham, finely chopped
  • 1 cup yellow bell pepper, finely chopped 1 cup yellow bell pepper, finely chopped
  •  white peppers, necessary amount white peppers, necessary amount
  • 2 green olives, stuffed with bell pepper
  • 2 dried árbol chiles
  • 6 pistachios, peeled and halved
  • salty cracker, to taste

  • Lightly beat the cream cheese, add the serrano ham and the yellow bell pepper.
  • Mix until fully combined.
  • On a flat plate, place half of the cheese and shape it into an oval.
  • With the rest of the cheese, form two balls about 5 centimeters wide, placing each one at each end below the middle of the oval; these will form the cheekbones of the skull. Form a ball of 3 centimeters in diameter and place it in the middle of the cheekbones to form the nose.
  • With your thumbs, press the cheese to form the eye sockets. Where you placed the cheekbones, press the cheese to form the outline of the skull. Make two holes to form the nose.
  • Using a brush, sprinkle white pepper all over the skull to better define its features.
  • Cut the olives in half and place them as the eyes. Arrange the pistachios as teeth. Use the chilies for the eyebrows.
  • Surround the skull with saltine crackers.
