Homemade Hummus

Hummus is a delicious dip of Mediterranean origins made from chickpeas, sesame paste, lemon, and olive oil.

  • 450 grams chickpeas, in a can or jar
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 cups olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons tahini, (sesame paste)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 tablespoons paprika
  • coarse salt

  • In a food processor, puree the chickpeas, add garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, tahini, cumin, and salt, and process until creamy.
  • Remove from the processor, place on a plate, and drizzle with a bit of olive oil and paprika before serving.
