Drowned Tacos Style Guadalajara

Typical tacos from Guadalajara, filled with meat and seasoned with a árbol chili sauce.

  • 8 pieces of bread, bolillo type
  • 1/2 kilos meat
  • 10 tomatoes
  • 1/4 kilos refried beans
  • 100 grams árbol chile
  • 3 cloves
  • garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 3 limes
  • 1 liter water
  • salt, to taste
  • cabbages, chopped

  • For the sweet sauce: blend the tomatoes and bring to a boil with the oregano and cloves, then add the water and salt.
  • Spicy sauce: in a pot, bring the árbol chili to a boil with water, blend, and set aside.
  • Slice the onion into rings, soak it in vinegar, water, and lemon to soften.
  • To serve: slice the bolillo, add the beans and carnitas. Then, cover with sweet sauce, add cabbage, and the onion, and top with spicy sauce.
