Corn Sticks

We renew the concept of corn sticks with this original idea; sweet corn covered in batter, accompanied by mayonnaise, lime, and chili. Treat your friends to this peculiar and delicious snack; they will love it!

  • 1 1/2 cups pancake mix
  • 1/2 cups sparkling water
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 ears corn
  • 3 cups vegetable oil, for frying
  • mayonnaise, to accompany
  • queso fresco, to accompany
  • piquín chile

  • For the corn sticks, mix the ingredients for the batter in a bowl and beat for 3 minutes until you have a homogeneous mixture.
  • Insert the sticks into the corn.
  • In a deep saucepan, heat the oil over low heat.
  • Dip the corn into the corn stick mixture, remove the excess, and fry for 3 minutes over low heat, placing them on absorbent paper.
  • Serve accompanied by mayonnaise, cheese, and chili piquín.
