Empanadas for Reheating

Did you have leftover reheated food and don't know what to do with it? You won't have to worry anymore with these fried empanadas filled with cod, romeritos, and turkey, so crispy that they will be impossible to resist. Serve them with your favorite sauce.

  • 3 cups flour, for the empanada dough
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, for the empanada dough
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt, for the empanada dough
  • 1/4 cups vegetable oil, for the empanada dough
  • 1 cup water, for the empanada dough
  • 1 cup flour, to roll out
  • 2 cups romeritos, for filling
  • 2 cups cod, for filling
  • 2 cups turkey, for filling
  • vegetable oil, for frying

  • In a bowl, mix the flour with sugar, salt, oil, and water. Knead until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface until you achieve a thickness of 3 mm, using a cutter, cut out circles.
  • Fill some with romeritos, others with cod, and others with turkey. Close and braid with the help of your fingers.
  • In a small pot, heat oil over medium heat and fry the empanadas for about 5 minutes or until they are golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper and serve.
