In a large pot, bring plenty of water to a boil. Add a handful of salt and the edamame pods. Let them boil for about 3 minutes, or until you check that the pods are tender and can be easily opened with a knife.
Remove the pods from the water and season them with soy sauce and lemon juice, salt, or spices. They also taste great with paprika.
