Figs Stuffed with Goat Cheese in Prosciutto

This appetizer is easy to prepare and tastes delicious. If desired, you can put them on the grill and serve them with a arugula salad with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

  • 6 figs, cut in half
  • 1/2 cups balsamic vinegar
  • peperoncinos, (dried chili flakes)
  • slices prosciutto, cut in half
  • 1/2 sticks goat cheese
  • olive oil, for grilling

  • Place a few drops of balsamic vinegar on each half of the fig and fill the center with goat cheese. Sprinkle with chili flakes. Wrap in the halves of prosciutto slices.
  • If you wish to grill them, brush the figs with a little olive oil and preheat the grill to medium heat.
  • Place the wrapped figs on the cooler part of the grill (to cook the figs and get a little crispy on the outside).
  • Cook for about 5-6 minutes until the prosciutto is crispy and the figs feel soft.
