Salmon Sushi Snack

A delicious snack with sushi rice and smoked salmon. It's perfect as an appetizer for a special meal or dinner. You'll love it!

  • 1/2 cups rice vinegar, (for the rice)
  • 5 tablespoons sugar, (for the rice)
  • 1 teaspoon salt, (for the rice)
  • 4 cups sushi rice, (for the rice)
  • 300 grams smoked salmon
  • 1 bunch chives, finely chopped
  • soy sauce, for garnish
  • 1 lime, (its juice)
  • sesame seeds, for garnish

  • For the rice: Rinse the rice with a strainer until the water runs clear.
  • Place the rice in a pot with 4 1/4 cups of water and let it soak for 20 minutes.
  • Place the pot over medium heat until it starts to boil, cover, and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
  • In a deep bowl, mix the vinegar with the sugar and salt until both are dissolved.
  • In a large deep bowl, place the rice and season with rice vinegar. Gently mix with a wooden spoon.
  • For the sushi: On a cutting board, place the salmon and cut into strips about 3 cm wide.
  • Place 2 tablespoons of rice at the beginning of each salmon strip and roll it up.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions and place on a serving platter.
  • Prepare the soy sauce for dipping by adding a bit of lemon and garnishing with sesame seeds and green onions.
