Sardine Taquitos

Try a delicious snack of sardine taquitos, they come with a pico de gallo sauce and are slightly baked to melt the cheese.

  • 1 can sardine, in tomato sauce
  • 12 slices sandwich bread
  • mayonnaise
  • butter
  • Manchego cheese, grated
  • 4 egg whites
  • 3 tomatoes, for the sauce
  • 1/2 onions, for the sauce
  • 4 serrano chiles, for the sauce

  • Remove the crust from the bread, flatten it, and spread with mayonnaise, place a sardine (adding lemon juice), close it, and brown in a little butter, beat the egg whites until stiff and dip the taquitos in there.
  • Place them on a platter when finished making all, add the cheese and bake until the cheese melts.
  • Sauce: Chop the tomato, onion, and chili, serve on top of the tacos.
