Shrimp and Avocado Snacks

For a gathering on hot days, it is highly recommended to welcome guests with a delicious snack. This will leave your guests happy and wanting to eat more.

  • 24 shrimp, medium
  • 1 avocado, ripe
  • lime juice, from 1 lemon
  • butter
  • olive oil
  • salt, and pepper to taste
  • fresh cilantro
  • cookies, habanera or savory
  • baguettes, in thick slices

  • In a deep bowl, mash the avocado until it forms a paste, or if you prefer, you can chop it into small cubes. Add the lemon juice to prevent oxidation.
  • Place olive oil and a little butter in a pan. When hot, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink. Sauté for five more minutes, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spread a bit of avocado paste on the crackers or baguette-style bread. Place two shrimp on top and add some cilantro leaves.
