Tuna Minilla

Tuna minilla is an ideal recipe to surprise your family without spending too much time. This snack has been a family tradition for several generations.

  • 5 cans tuna
  • olives, to taste, with or without pits
  • 2 tomatoes, medium
  • 1/2 onions
  • aromatic herbs, bay leaf and thyme
  • olive oil

  • Dice the tomato and onion. Set aside.
  • If the olives are pitted, they can be cut in half, no more, to prevent them from breaking apart during cooking.
  • Open the cans of tuna and drain as much liquid as possible. Set aside.
  • Turn on the stove to medium heat and pour a splash of olive oil into a pan.
  • Put the chopped onion in the pan and stir to avoid burning. Add the chopped tomato and stir.
  • When the onion looks transparent, add the tuna, olives, and herbs to the pan. Stir constantly.
  • When all the liquid has evaporated, turn off the heat and serve.
