Gratinated Artichoke Hearts

A delicious snack or appetizer made with artichokes, eggs, and grated cheese.

  • 1 can artichoke heart, large
  • 3 eggs, hard
  • 1 teaspoon onion, grated
  • 1 teaspoon granulated chicken bouillon
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 2 cups cow's milk
  • 3 teaspoons flour
  • 6 teaspoons Oaxaca cheese, grated cheese
  • pepper, to taste

  • Slice the artichoke hearts and eggs into thin slices.
  • Arrange them in individual oven-safe dishes (6 servings)
  • Melt the butter, add the onion, broth, mustard, and pepper.
  • Slowly add the flour while stirring constantly over low heat.
  • Add the previously heated milk and cook, stirring for ten minutes.
  • If you want a thicker sauce, add a tablespoon of flour mixed with four tablespoons of milk.
  • Spread the sauce to completely cover the artichoke hearts.
  • Cover with cheese and bake until golden.
