Jalapeño Poppers with Bacon

Enjoy these tasty jalapeño poppers filled with a delicious combination of cheeses, covered with bacon and glazed with Smucker's® apricot jam. They will be spicy and crispy, you can't miss them!

  • 15 Jalapeño chiles
  • water, to cook the chiles
  • 1/2 piloncillos
  • 4 cups cream cheese, in medium cubes
  • 1 cup Manchego cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup American cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons whipping cream
  • 1/2 cups Smucker's® apricot jam
  • 15 slices bacon
  • 1 cup Smucker's® apricot jam
  • hot sauce, for serving
  • ranch dressing, for serving

  • Cut the chile lengthwise and remove the seeds and veins. Set aside.
  • In a pot over medium heat, add water and dissolve the piloncillo. Add the jalapeños and cook for 5 minutes. This will help reduce the spiciness of the jalapeños. Let cool.
  • In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, manchego cheese, American cheese, garlic powder, soy sauce, heavy cream, and Smucker's® apricot jam. Mix until fully integrated.
  • Fill each jalapeño popper with the cheese and Smucker's® apricot jam filling and cover with bacon slices. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with Smucker's® apricot jam, and bake at 180 °C for 25 minutes.
  • Serve the jalapeño poppers on a platter and accompany with hot sauce and ranch dressing.
