Jicaloca

This jicama filled with peanuts, spicy chickpeas, and decorated with fruit skewers will be your guests' favorite snack or perfect for a family afternoon. To make it perfect, be sure to choose a large jicama so you can fill it well. Remember that this snack is rich in vitamins because jicama contains a lot of iron, potassium, and calcium.

  • 1 jicama
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 cup pineapple, cut into slices
  • 5 slices jicama
  • 8 tamarind candies, , sticks
  • 1/2 cups cracker nuts
  • 1/2 cups spicy peanuts
  • 1/2 cups chickpeas, spicy
  • 1/2 cups churrito snacks
  • 5 tamarind candy sticks
  • lime juice, for serving

  • Peel the jicama and cut the edges, then use a spoon to hollow it out. Set the pulp aside.
  • Cut the cucumber into slices and use a flower cutter to shape the slices.
  • Use a star cutter to cut the pineapple and set aside.
  • Use a flower cutter to cut jicama slices. Use a small circle cutter to cut the center and fill it with tamarind.
  • On a skewer, insert the jicama flowers, pineapple, and cucumber. Set aside the skewers.
  • In a bowl, mix the peanuts with the chickpeas, spicy snacks, and sauces, and mix well.
  • Fill the jicama with the previous mixture.
  • Insert the fruit skewers in the center of the jicama, as well as the tamarind skewers.
  • Present with lime and sauces of your choice.
