These delicious mac & cheese croquettes are perfect for a snack or meal for the little ones at home. They are very creamy inside and have a crispy crust outside. A fun way to treat your kids.
Boil water in a pot, add salt and pasta, cook until soft, drain and set aside.
Heat a pot over medium heat with the butter, add the bacon and fry until golden. Add the milk, cream, cheeses, garlic powder, onion powder and cook until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Season with salt and pepper, add the pasta and cook for one more minute to combine. Chill.
Mix the previous preparation with the grated cheddar cheese and, using an ice cream scoop, form balls with the Mac & Cheese on a tray.
In a bowl, beat the pieces of Huevo San Juan® with salt and pepper.
Coat the balls by dipping them in flour, then in the Huevo San Juan® mixture, and finally in the breadcrumbs.
Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat and fry the balls until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve with tomato sauce.
