Melon Balls with Serrano Ham

An easy and delicious appetizer that everyone will love. Serve them in small cups with a container for dipping in the vinaigrette.

  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons peppermint, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 12 melons, in balls
  • 2 slices serrano ham, thin

  • In a small bowl, mix the vinegar, chopped mint, and sugar. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes and strain it through a fine mesh sieve. Place a slice of serrano ham on each skewer and follow with a melon ball. (Melon balls are made with a special scoop.) Repeat this step with the remaining skewers. Arrange them in cups and set the vinaigrette aside for everyone to dip.
