Tostiesquites

This Tostitos® esquites recipe is perfect for a craving afternoon. The traditional esquites are prepared, but with a twist, as they are served with crunchy Tostitos®, lime, mayonnaise, cheese, and chili powder. You can't miss them!

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter , for the esquites
  • 1/4 cups onion, finely chopped, for the esquites
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped, for the esquites
  • 3 árbol chiles, for the esquites
  • 2 cups corn kernel , for the esquites
  • 1/4 cups epazote, finely chopped, for the esquites
  • 8 cups water, for the esquites
  • salt , for the esquites
  • 1 bag Tostitos® green salsa tortilla chips
  • mayonnaise
  • añejo cheese
  • lemon
  • chile powder

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat, add the butter, and sauté the onion, garlic, and árbol chili. Add the corn kernels and sauté for 3 more minutes. Add the epazote, salt, and water, and cook for 30 minutes or until the kernels are tender. Set aside.
  • Open the Tostitos® salsa verde bag horizontally and add the esquites.
  • Accompany the tostiesquites with mayonnaise, aged cheese, lime, and chili powder.
