Nachos with Cheese and Chili with Meat

Nachos are the favorite snack of many, and this recipe will be no exception because it has everything you expect, with a balanced and delicious spiced flavor, accompanied by cheddar cheese. It is ideal to please your guests at any family gathering.

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, cut into large cubes
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into small cubes
  • 4 tomatoes, skinless and peeled (finely chopped)
  • 500 grams ground meat
  • 1 teaspoon chile powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon raw sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons thyme, dry
  • 4 tablespoons tomato purée
  • 1 1/2 cups black beans, cooked, without broth
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup lager beer
  • 1 bag nachos
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded, for gratin

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat, add the onion, add the garlic and cook for 3 minutes until golden, add the bell pepper, the tomato, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the ground beef and cook for 5 minutes until browned, add the seasonings, sugar, and tomato puree. Cook for 3 more minutes.
  • Add the black beans, season with salt and pepper, add the beer and let cook for 40 minutes on low heat.
  • Place the nachos on a cast iron skillet, add the meat, the cheddar cheese, and gratin for 5 minutes in the oven.
  • Serve with jalapeño peppers and enjoy.
