Cemita Poblana

The cemita poblana is a very typical sandwich from the state of Puebla with its crispy beef milanesa and Oaxaca cheese, try it, you will surely love its flavor.

  • 1 tablespoon Knorr® granulated chicken bouillon
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 4 beefsteaks
  • 1/2 cups Maizena® cornstarch
  • 2 eggs, battered
  • 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 4 pieces of bread, for cemita
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup Oaxaca cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup papaloquelite, only the leaves
  • salsa, chipotle

  • Mix the Knorr® Suiza Chicken Broth with the breadcrumbs; set aside.
  • Dust the meat with Maizena® Cornstarch Regular, then dip it in the egg, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture as a breading. Continue with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Heat oil in a skillet and fry the milanesa on both sides until well cooked and golden.
  • Place on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
  • To assemble the cemitas, cut the bread in half lengthwise, place a milanesa, slices of avocado, cheese, pápalo, and close with the other half of the bread.
  • Serve accompanied by chipotle sauce to taste.
