Asian style sandwich

The Asian style sandwich is an original and very rich recipe where the gratin is on the outside to make it more appealing to anyone.

  • 8 slices bread
  • 4 slices Manchego cheese
  • 2 slices canned pineapple
  • 40 grams butter
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 1 carrot, large
  • 1/2 white onions
  • 1/4 leeks, (only the white part)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 4 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 dash soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 piece ginger

  • Cut the canned pineapple slices into pieces and set aside.
  • Julienne finely: carrot, onion, and leek, and sauté them in a pan with sesame oil. Add a teaspoon of finely chopped ginger, let it cook a bit, then add rice vinegar and soy sauce to season. Let it cool a little and add a teaspoon of sesame seeds. Set aside.
  • In a pan, place the slices of bread with butter on both sides until they are golden brown and set aside.
  • Place 2 slices of ham on 4 pieces of bread, and on top of the ham, add a good amount of the sautéed vegetables. On top of the vegetables, place some pieces of the canned pineapple, cover with the other pieces of bread to make 4 sandwiches, and on each sandwich, place a slice of manchego cheese so it goes into the oven for 4 or 5 minutes, allowing the GRATIN to be on the outside.
