Roast Beef Ciabatta

This ciabatta is unique and ideal for a picnic. The star ingredient is the roast beef, which is basically seasoned oven-roasted beef. It can be ordered at the market in different cuts, but for this occasion, I requested it in thin slices. You will love it!

  • Cut the ciabatta with a serrated knife, try to do it symmetrically so that both parts are the same size.
  • Spread each slice with Dijon mustard, you can also spread pesto, mayonnaise, or even apricot jam if you like bold flavors.
  • Slice the pear into thin slices.
  • Slice the onion into not very thick rings.
  • Slice the cheese, they can be as wide as you prefer.
  • Wash and disinfect the lettuce and spinach. Remember to dry it well so it doesn't make the bread soggy.
  • Place on the base slice of bread. A bed of lettuce, and arrange the onion rings. If the taste of raw onion is too strong for you, you can caramelize it. To do this, heat sugar in a pan, place the onion slices, and add a splash of red wine. Let them soften completely and serve them on the bread.
  • Add the sliced pear, and on top, the cheese of your choice.
  • Finally, place the roast beef in rolls, as many as you like.
  • Close the bread with the top slice. It can be served hot or cold.
