Grilled Sandwich

To delight in a rich dinner or breakfast, prepare this delicious sandwich with cheese, tomato, basil, and olive oil on whole grain bread; you will surely win everyone over with its flavor.

  • 4 slices wholemeal bread
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 6 slices cheese
  • 1 tomato, in thin slices
  • 1/2 cups basil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and pepper

  • Cut the garlic into quarters and rub both sides of each slice of bread.
  • Place a portion of cheese on each slice. Add small slices of tomato until the cheese is completely covered. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Top with some basil leaves. Add a few more pieces of cheese and close your sandwich with another slice of bread.
  • With the help of a brush, moisten the bread with a little olive oil. Sprinkle again with a bit of salt and pepper.
  • In a pan greased with cooking spray, cook your sandwich for 4 to 5 minutes or until the slices of bread are golden brown and the cheese on the bottom starts to melt.
  • Flip it over, brush the other side of the sandwich with oil, sprinkle with seasoning again, and cook for another 2 to 4 minutes.
