Cut the slices of bread into heart shapes using a knife or kitchen scissors. After cutting, cover them and keep them fresh to prevent them from drying out.
In a separate bowl, combine the water and cornstarch and let it rest.
Heat the cream and sweetened condensed milk in a small pot over medium heat until well combined.
Add the cornstarch mixture. Cook and continue stirring for about 2 minutes or until the consistency is thick.
Remove from heat, cover, and let cool to room temperature.
Add the chopped strawberries to the cream mixture.
Spread this mixture on 8 heart-shaped slices.
Serve warm or cold.
