Sandwichón

This sandwichón recipe is a hit with both kids and adults, making it perfect for a children's party or a gathering with kids and family.

  • 1 package sandwich bread, extra large
  • 1/2 kilos turkey deli ham
  • 10 slices American cheese
  • 1 chile, in vinegar
  • 1/2 cups liquid from a can of pickled chili peppers
  • 1/3 cups sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 packages cream cheese, of 190g.
  • 1 can bell pepper, small
  • pepper, to taste

  • Cut the edges off the bread.
  • Blend the diced turkey ham perfectly with the American cheese, the chili, and the 1/2 cup of vinegar. It should have a consistency similar to slightly watery puree.
  • In a bowl, combine the previous mixture with the cream, mayonnaise, mustard, and pepper. Mix everything until homogeneous.
  • On the side, using an immersion blender, mix the cream cheese with the bell pepper to taste until it takes on a light pink color and is well creamed.
  • Arrange the bread in a tray in an initial layer of 6 pieces (2x3), add one-third of the ham mixture, and cover it with another layer of bread.
  • Continue this process until forming three layers, finishing with a layer of bread to cover it with the cream cheese and bell pepper mixture as a cake frosting.
  • Garnish with chopped pieces of bell pepper. Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
