Sausage Skewers with Puff Pastry

Delicious snack of sausages wrapped in puff pastry, baked and served as skewers, super tasty for snacking at any party.

  • 1 package turkey sausage, small
  • 1 package puff pastry, fresh and good quality
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • salt, and pepper to taste

  • Cut the sausages into three equal parts. Set aside.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut small squares to cover the sausages.
  • Put a bit of egg on the edges of the puff pastry and cover the sausages with it; the egg will help keep the pastry from coming off.
  • Once you have the sausages covered with the puff pastry, brush them with the remaining beaten egg.
  • Place the sausages on a non-stick baking tray. Bake in the oven at 180 ºC for 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown. Remove and let the sausages cool.
  • Once they are cool, insert the skewer stick into the center of the sausages.
