Sausage Banderillas

Try these sausage banderillas; it's an easy recipe and they turn out like the ones from the street. They are perfect for snacking or for giving to children; they are so fun that they will love eating them.

  • 3/4 cups cow's milk, fry
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cups Gamesa® pancake mix
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1/4 cups cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 500 grams turkey sausage
  • 200 grams Manchego cheese, in pieces
  • 1 cup vegetable oil, for frying

  • Whisk the milk with the eggs. Add the flours (reserve a little wheat flour), the cornstarch, and the baking powder. While continuing to whisk, until achieving a homogenous mixture, refrigerate it for 15 minutes.
  • Insert the sausage and cheese pieces into each stick without reaching the tip. Dip each banderilla in the reserved flour and then into the batter, letting them drain a little.
  • Fry them in hot oil at 180 ºC. Once they have an even golden color, drain them and place on absorbent paper to remove excess grease.
