Spicy Shrimp Guacamole

This spicy shrimp guacamole recipe will be your best option for an evening of snacks with friends. Also, if you love spicy food, add that extra flavor that can only be achieved with Huichol® Sauce.

  • 1/4 cups water, for the sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, for the sauce
  • 1/4 onions, for the sauce
  • 2 guajillo chiles, seedless and hydrated, for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce, for the sauce
  • 4 tablespoons Salsa Huichol® hot sauce, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice, for the sauce

  • 3 cups shrimp, clean
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, for the shrimp
  • 6 avocados, ripe, without skin and pit, for the guacamole
  • 3 serrano chiles, sliced, for the guacamole
  • 1/4 onions, finely chopped, for the guacamole
  • 1/2 cups cilantro, for the guacamole
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice, for the guacamole
  • salt, for the guacamole

  • cilantro leaves, for decoration

  • For the sauce: blend the water, garlic, onion, guajillo, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, Huichol® Spicy Sauce, lime juice, salt, and pepper at medium speed. Set aside.
  • Next, place the shrimp in a bowl, pour in the sauce, and let marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the shrimp for 4 minutes on each side. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • For the guacamole: place the avocado in a mortar and start mashing until it forms a paste; remember you can use an immersion blender if you prefer. Then, add the serrano chili, onion, cilantro, lime juice, and season with salt and pepper. Finally, mix well with a spoon and it's ready.
  • Pour the guacamole into a bowl or a molcajete, decorate with cilantro leaves and arrange the shrimp around the bowl or molcajete. Enjoy this spicy shrimp guacamole!
