Sweet Potato Balls with Cheese

These crispy sweet potato balls filled with cheese are very tasty and different. You can eat them as a snack or as an appetizer; you decide, but don't wait any longer to prepare them.

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1/4 tablespoons baking powder
  • 3 cups oil , for frying

  • Beat the eggs, salt, and cinnamon well in a bowl.
  • Mix the sweet potato puree, 1 cup of breadcrumbs, cheese, and baking powder. Form balls, dip them in the egg mixture, and then roll them in the remaining breadcrumbs until evenly coated.
  • Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Carefully add the balls and cook for 3 minutes or until golden brown. Drain them on paper towels. Serve hot.
