Gratinated Zucchini with Hummus Obela®

Gratinated Zucchini is a healthy, nutritious dish, ideal for vegetarians, and has a unique flavor thanks to Hummus Obela®. This recipe can be the perfect appetizer for an elegant dinner with your friends, as they work very well as a snack.

  • 2 zucchinis, medium
  • 4 cups water, boiling
  • salt, a pinch
  • 4 cups water, ice
  • 1/2 cups Obela® Hummus, Chiles Toreados
  • 3 tablespoons Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Mozzarella cheese, grated

  • Preheat your oven to 180ºC for 10 minutes.
  • Cut the zucchini into semi-thick slices and blanch them in a pot of boiling water with salt for one and a half minutes. Drain and rinse them in ice water to stop the cooking.
  • Dry the blanched zucchini well and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  • Spread them with Hummus Obela® Chiles Toreados and cover the surfaces with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Bake the zucchini for 12 minutes, or until the cheeses are golden brown.
  • Serve while hot and share!
