Two Cheese Fondue

Cheese fondue is a super simple and delicious dish for a casual dinner. This recipe is made with Gruyere cheese, Gouda, and touches of Riesling white wine.

  • 1/2 cups Gruyère cheese
  • 1/3 cups Gouda cheese
  • pinches cayenne pepper
  • pinches black pepper, freshly ground
  • 3/4 cups white wine, Riesling type
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • baguettes, in pieces

  • Cut the cheeses into 1-centimeter cubes and coat them with flour, cayenne pepper, and freshly ground pepper.
  • Put the wine in the fondue pot and wait for it to boil over medium-low heat.
  • Add the cheese and let it melt, stirring a little, for 5 minutes.
  • Place the fondue over a candle flame and serve immediately with bread cut into pieces.
