Coconut Fish Stew

Coconut fish stew is an exquisite recipe to share for lunch with family.

  • 5 fish
  • shredded coconuts, as needed
  • 1 onion, onion, finely chopped
  • small boxes tomato , finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt , to taste
  • lemons
  • Maggi seasoning sauce
  • fresh cilantro, and chives chopped to taste
  • red bell peppers
  • ground cumin , to taste

  • Fry the tomato, onion, grated garlic, and red bell pepper, then add Maggi sauce and cumin. Cook for three minutes.
  • Place the fish in a pot and add boiled water, then wash it well and add lemon.
  • Blend the coconut with a little water, then strain and place it in a container, set aside.
  • Add the fish to the pan with the sautéed vegetables and pour in a little coconut milk.
  • Then add salt to taste and cook for about 15 minutes.
  • After 15 minutes, add the reserved coconut milk, cilantro, and chives.
  • Put back on the heat for another 3 minutes.
  • Serve hot and accompany with white rice and green plantains.
