Cut the 8 eggs in half and scoop out the yolks. In a container save half of the yolks (4 eggs).
In a bowl mix the mayonnaise, the chopped onion, the lemon juice, the chili pepper and the hot sauce. Add the crab and mix well. Season with salt and pepper.
Add the egg yolks and mix well with the crab.
Fill the hard-boiled egg whites with the crab filling and place on a serving plate. You can refrigerate up to 3-4 hours before serving.
