Fat-Free Foil-Wrapped Fish

Foil-wrapped fish is a fat-free and very simple preparation to make.

  • 4 fish fillets, (of your choice snapper, sole, etc.)
  • 6 limes, (its juice)
  • 1 bell pepper, of each color into not-too-thin slices
  • onions, into slices
  • fresh cilantro, clean sprigs
  • salt, garlic powder and ground pepper to taste

  • Clean or check that your fillets are clean. Place them in a container and add salt, garlic, and pepper. Drizzle them with lemon juice and let them sit while you slice the other ingredients.
  • Clean and slice the peppers into rings as well as the onion, wash and separate sprigs of cilantro.
  • Cut the fillets in half as if to make sandwiches with them.
  • On one half of the fillet, place slices of peppers, onion, and cilantro on top of the other half of the fillet as if it were a sandwich.
  • Wrap them in aluminum foil.
  • Cook them in a non-stick pot over medium-low heat for 10 minutes on each side and then 5 minutes on each (30 minutes of total cooking).
  • Unwrap and serve.
