Fish a la Pibil

This recipe is very Mexican. This fish is accompanied with melted Oaxaca cheese, seasoned with epazote, which gives it a more original flavor.

  • 4 fish fillets, mojarra or any fish of your preference
  • 1 stick achiote
  • 1 piece onion
  • 1 orange, its juice
  • 1 pinch oregano
  • 1 lid vinegar
  • salt, the necessary
  • nopales
  • olive oil

  • Blend all the ingredients in a blender and use this mixture to marinate the fillets for at least 3 hours, preferably leaving it overnight.
  • Add a few drizzles of olive oil and add the fish, cook over medium heat and let them sear a little, then add the cheese in strips to melt quickly. Serve accompanied by strips of manzano chili and grilled nopales with a touch of olive oil and pepper. Enjoy!
