Fish Fingers

A quick dish that kids love, fish fingers. They are very easy to make.

  • 750 grams fish fillet
  • 5 tablespoons lime juice
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup beer, optional
  • 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 eggs
  • pepper
  • 1 liter vegetable oil

  • Mix the egg yolks and salt into the beer
  • Add the flour until a thick batter forms
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form
  • Gradually fold the beaten egg whites into the batter (using gentle folding motions)
  • Marinate the fillets with lemon, salt, pepper, and garlic for 20 minutes.
  • Dip the fillets into the batter until they are fully coated.
  • Fry the fillets in plenty of oil.
  • Drain the fillets on paper towels to remove excess grease
