Breaded Fish Fingers in Oat and Flaxseed

Delicious and healthy recipe for breaded fish fillets in oat flour with flaxseed to dip in a cilantro-garlic dip. These fish fingers are perfect for sharing on any occasion and are guilt-free.

  • 4 fish fillets, milk marinade
  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cups oats
  • 1/4 cups flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon lime, and lemon pepper
  • 1/2 cups coconut flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 tablespoons coconut oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cups cream cheese
  • 1 serrano chile, roasted, for the dip
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro, bunch cilantro blanched and drained, for dip
  • 1 clove garlic, roasted, for the dip
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder, with salt, for the dip

  • Add to a bowl the oat flour, rolled oats, flaxseed, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lemon pepper. Set aside.
  • Coat the fish strips in coconut flour, dip in beaten egg, and finally cover completely with the oat mixture.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat with coconut oil, fry the fish strips until well cooked. Remove excess fat with paper towels. Set aside.
  • Add cream cheese to the blender with serrano chili, cilantro, garlic, and garlic powder, blend until completely smooth. Set aside.
  • Serve the fish strips, accompany with the dip, and enjoy.
