Cod Balls

These balls are very tasty as they have a strong cod flavor and are great as tapas.

  • 250 grams Langa® cod, boiled
  • 3 potatoes, large
  • 1/2 green bell peppers, chopped
  • 1/2 red bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten

  • Boil the potatoes in a pot with plenty of water over high heat until they are very soft.
  • We make a puree and add butter and milk, mixing well.
  • In a pan with a little oil over medium heat, sauté the onion, garlic, and peppers for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add the Langa cod and mix well with the onion, garlic, and peppers.
  • In a deep plate, mix the mashed potatoes with the Langa cod.
  • Form balls with the cod mixture and first coat them in flour, then in beaten egg, and finally in breadcrumbs.
  • Cook the balls in a pan with plenty of oil until golden brown and place them on paper towels to absorb the excess grease.
