Fish and Chips

The classic snack recipe from England. Fish and chips is a simple and delicious recipe.

  • 1 kilo potato, peeled and cut into thick strips
  • 2 vegetable oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup beer
  • 2 egg whites, whipped
  • 4 fish fillets, cut into strips
  • salt

  • Place all the oil in a large frying pan or pot and heat until it reaches 160 degrees Celsius or when a potato is placed in it, it starts to bubble.
  • Cook the potatoes in the oil until they are soft but not fully cooked, about 4 minutes. Remove from the oil and dry with paper towels.
  • Mix the flour and beer in a deep bowl. Add the egg whites to the bowl and whisk with a whisk.
  • Pass the strips of fish and the potatoes through the flour mixture and fry in hot oil until golden.
  • Remove from the oil and dry with paper towels.
