Galician Pie

Galician pie is very good and nutritious, it tastes very good, I highly recommend it.

  • 400 grams flour
  • 150 centiliters cow's milk
  • 60 centiliters vegetable oil
  • 60 centiliters water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 envelopes yeast
  • 750 grams onion
  • 100 centiliters vegetable oil
  • 100 grams bell pepper, in a can
  • 1 teaspoon pimentón, red
  • 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 eggs, hard
  • 100 grams green bell pepper
  • 6 cans tuna, small or 3 large

  • In a bowl, the flour is mixed with the yeast.
  • In a saucepan, the fried oil, milk, water, salt, and a few grains of sugar are combined.
  • All the ingredients are combined and kneaded for 10 minutes. It is left to rest.
  • The onion is sliced very thinly and sautéed in a pan with oil over low heat until it becomes transparent.
  • The red and green canned peppers are cut and fried separately.
  • The eggs are boiled for 10 minutes.
  • The cans of tuna are opened and placed on a plate.
  • The dough is divided into two equal pieces and placed on the silpat to stretch it out. It is rolled out thin.
  • A layer of onion is placed over the stretched dough, followed by the other ingredients evenly distributed over the dough.
  • The other part of the dough is rolled out and used to cover the pie. The edges are sealed by pressing with fingers, and a cord is made around it by folding the edge inward. The cord is flattened with a fork.
  • A yolk with a splash of water is placed in a glass and used to brush the pie.
  • A hole is made in the middle like a chimney, and it is placed in the preheated oven at 200 degrees for 45 minutes until golden brown.
