Greek Fish

A delicious Greek fish to share this season. It is prepared with garlic, basil, tomato, white wine, butter, lemon juice, and lime, giving this dish citrus notes and a lot of flavor. It's a new way to cook fish at home.

  • 3 tablespoons garlic, chopped into small cubes
  • 4 tomatoes, chopped
  • 150 grams unsalted butter
  • 150 grams basil, freshly chopped into julienne
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1 cup white wine, preferably

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Place half of the butter and half of the garlic in a medium pot over medium heat.
  • Once the butter is melted, add the tomatoes, basil, lemon juice, and half a glass of wine.
  • Avoid boiling the mixture and lower the temperature to keep it warm.
  • Melt the remaining butter and place it in a saucepan, adding the remaining garlic and wine.
  • Bake the fish for 5 minutes. Flip and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the flesh flakes easily with a fork.
  • Pour the tomato mixture over the fish when serving. Drizzle with the butter and garlic sauce left in the baking dish.
  • Place a few drops of lime on our fish.
