Homemade Fish Nuggets

You probably still enjoy eating nuggets at mealtime, and these little fish nuggets have both nutritional and practical benefits when it comes to making food. This fish nugget recipe is made with white fish, which contains vitamin B and is rich in calcium, iron, and protein. You can shape them without the need for any molds, they are delicious, and you will have fun making them with the little ones at home.

  • 2 cups white fish, in cubes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 cups cream cheese, in cubes
  • 1/4 cups breadcrumbs
  • salt
  • white pepper
  • vegetable oil, to grease hands and for frying
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • cucumber, in thin strips, for serving
  • peas, and cooked yellow corn, for serving
  • potato, wedges for serving

  • Crush the fish in a processor with garlic, cream cheese, breadcrumbs, salt, and white pepper, until you obtain a sticky and moldable mixture.
  • Grease your hands with oil so that the mixture doesn't stick. Take a bit of the mixture and start forming a sphere, flatten it gradually, trying to elongate a small part of the shape, which will be the rear fin (tail) of the little fish. With a skewer or wooden stick, begin to outline the fin and with your fingertips, the rest of the body. Once the little fish is formed, place it on a flat surface and freeze for 10 minutes.
  • Coat each fish with flour, egg, and breadcrumbs. Fry in hot vegetable oil for 8 minutes over low heat, until golden brown. Drain.
  • Place on a plate, have fun making shapes with the vegetables.
