  • In a bowl, place the cod and 2 liters of water, and store in the refrigerator.
  • The soaking time in water depends on the thickness of the cod; for example, for 1 cm of thickness, it is 1 day of soaking; for 2 cm of thickness, it is 2 days of soaking, and so on.
  • Change the water three times a day and don't forget to strain it so that all the salt stays behind.
  • Place the cod back in a bowl and add cold water again; repeat this process once more.
  • When the time has passed and the water changing repetitions are done, remove the fish from the water and place it in a colander.
  • In a pot, place one liter of water, and when it boils, add the cod; cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the cod and shred it, being careful to remove all the bones. To help you remove all the bones, use a bowl of cold water so they can come off your fingers easily.
