Mussel Soup

A delicious mussel soup to impress everyone who tastes it with its delightful flavor. Feel free to pair it with a white wine.

  • 1 kilo mussels, cleaned in the shell
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 shallot, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 5 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup white wine
  • saffron
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • thyme

  • Boil the mussels in water for 5 minutes and reserve only the ones that have opened and the cooking broth.
  • In a skillet, heat the butter and add the garlic, shallot, and parsley. Add the flour and stir until well incorporated.
  • Add the white wine, lemon juice, saffron, mussels, and the cooking broth from the mussels.
  • Once it boils, adjust seasoning. Serve and garnish the plates with thyme.
