Octopus in Guajillo Sauce with Shrimp

If you crave octopus and shrimp, this broth dish based on Natural Tomato Puree from Del Fuerte® with guajillo rings, a touch of white wine, paprika, and butter is perfect. Adding a little tangy flavor of yellow lemon that is ideal to accompany seafood.

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 white onions, finely chopped
  • 3 guajillo chiles, guajillo chili cut into rings for preparation and decoration
  • 1/4 cups parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups white wine
  • 15 shrimp, clean
  • 1 kilo octopus, cooked and cut into pieces
  • 1 cup Del Fuerte® natural tomato purée
  • 1 lemon, juice and half for serving
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 serrano chile, sliced for decoration
  • 1/2 cups cherry tomato, cut in half

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add the butter, garlic, and white onion. Cook until it becomes transparent and shiny. Add the guajillo rings and chopped parsley to release their aroma, add a little white wine and let cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp and octopus, then the Natural Tomato Puree from Del Fuerte® and continue cooking for 3 minutes until it comes to a boil.
  • Season with paprika, salt, lemon juice, and pepper to taste.
  • Serve in a casserole-type plate with a little of the liquid, garnish with the serrano slices, guajillo rings, cherry tomatoes, and a half of yellow lemon.
